Transportation
in Taiwan Transportations are convenient from CKS International Airport to Taipei, including public transportation bus, ABC or AirBus to hotel, taxi and car rentals. In Taipei city, the main transportation utilities include city bus, Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) and taxi. City buses and MRT in Taipei are plentiful and frequent, and the fare differs according to the distance traveled. To reach other cities and scenic spots from Taipei, trains and highway bus services are available. Charges are NT$70 for the first 1.65km (the meter shows NT$50), and NT$5 for each additional 350 meters, so the passenger should pay extra NT$20 for each trip. A 20% surcharge is added to fares between 11p.m and 6a.m. Most drivers do not speak English. So it's a good idea to have hotel personnel write both your destination and your hotel's name and address in Chinese. Buses are the most important form of public transportation in Taipei. The tickets are cheap. The price of a ride on a bus is NT$15 one way. Some longer routes are divided into two sections, each of which costs NT$15. Transport from CKS International Airport to Taipei/City Public Transportation - Six bus companies now provide frequent service between CKS International Airport and important destinations around Taiwan. They are as follows: Taiwan Bus Corp; Evervoyage; Toward You Air Bus; Fe Go Express; United Highway Bus; Taoyuan Bus Corp - Where to buy bus tickets: Taoyuan Bus Corporation: Fare paid on the bus. Other buses: Ticket counters are located in the Arrival Passenger Reception Areas of both Terminals - Terminal I Bus Platform: On the southwest side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area - Terminal II Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area on the first floor of the terminal - Adult single fares vary from NT$110 to $140 - The journey time is about 1 hour in moderate traffic Taxi Taxis queue outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To ensure the safety of passengers, only taxis approved by the Aviation Police Bureau after a strict qualification procedure are cleared to operate in CKS Airport. - Taxis are available at CKS Airport around the clock - Airport Taxis charge according to the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included), and provide transport to anywhere in Taiwan.
